The swatch you see below was after many many many passes. I have to really press my eyeshadow brush hard into the product to pick up any color. This color has very sheer and has uneven pigmentation. It reminds me of the matte eyeshadows in Smashbox Full Exposure Palettes. This shade is pressed very hard into the pan, and kicks up a bit of powder when you're picking up product with a brush. The texture of this shade is the worst of the eyeshadows I purchased. I like to use this color as an allover lid color to apply other colors on top of, and as a blending shade. Porcelain is your typical matte light ivory "skin tone" shade. Make sure to take some extra time blending this one. This is perfect for beginners who are just learning how to apply eyeshadow and don't need the intense pigmentation like that of the LORAC PRO Eyeshadows. It's not intensely pigmented, however, the color is very buildable, and I was able to achieve an intense dark brown when I applied a couple of layers. The powder is pressed a little harder into the pan, but you can still pick up a good amount of color with a brush. The texture of this shade is not as good as Black Magic. This color is perfect for those that want a dark color but don't like the intensity of black. I would describe this shade as a matte cool-toned dark brown. may contain iron oxides, titanium dioxide, chromium, ultra marines Mica, Zinc Oxide, Silica, Ascorbyl Palmitate. There's no patchiness or uneven pigmentation when I apply this to the eye, and unlike the NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows, this shade blends very easily. It's not the darkest black on the market, but perfect for added definition to your crease and for a smokey eye. The pigmentation is solid, and can be built up to achieve a very intense deep black. The texture of this powder is similar to that of a Too Faced shadow, it's not soft and buttery like LORAC, but not pressed too hard that you're unable to pick up any color. There is no sheen or sparkle to this shade. With the Red Apple Lipstick Eyeshadow formula, not all are created equal, I found the pigmentation and texture varied greatly across shades.īlack Magic is your standard matte black. Now let's talk about the individual shades and their formulas. With all of these matte shades, I found they are not powdery, have zero fall out, or leave powder everywhere (like the LORAC PRO Palettes). I apply these shadows early in the morning and they come off late at night, and 12 hours later, they still looked great! When worn with an eyeshadow primer underneath, I had no problem with any of these shades wearing off or creasing throughout the day. I have not had any issues with the formula irritating my eyes or my skin upon application. Red Apple Lipstick touts these eyeshadows as having a non-irritating formula, so if you have highly sensitive skin, are acne prone, need gluten free, are allergic to talc, whatever your grievance, these will work for you. There is no discernible scent or fragrance. The eyeshadows come in pan form with no outer packaging, so they're perfect to pop in your MAC or Z-Palette. Whether used wet or dry, our eyeshadows give you beautiful, long-lasting color that won’t fade or crease!"
